Our Story

Care For My Child was founded in 2023, by Simon Filson, Marie White & Michaela Smith to provide expert information and advice to parents, children and healthcare providers.

Navigating parenthood can be challenging, particularly when it comes to your child's health. The abundance of conflicting information online can add to the stress and uncertainty. As a result, Care For My Child was developed by three senior NHS professionals with a wealth of experience, to create a trusted online community of health professionals and parents that gives direct access to reliable, unbiased, evidence based information from top NHS paediatric professionals, to give you confidence that you are making the right choices for your child.

We listened to feedback from parents and used our expertise to build a platform for you to be able ask questions and find trusted information from healthcare professionals that will help you manage your child’s health complaints comfortably at home or decide when to seek expert help. Our information will hopefully demystify the medical world and leave you feeling fully informed and confident when looking after your child.

Our team is made up of professionals who all specialise in children’s and young people’s healthcare. Combined, we have over 30 years of experience in diagnosing and treating children around the world, transforming their health and wellbeing.

    "When I first went into my appointment to receive my keloid injection I did not know what to expect, I was also scared as I thought it would be painful or there would be nothing they could do. Dr Filson stopped those worries as he clearly explained the procedures I would go through and explained how my keloid was formed. By him doing so I was reassured a lot and ready to get rid of my keloid. Each visit he had a huge smile on his face and was extremely welcoming.
